Picture the scene; a stunning six-bedroom villa set amongst the rolling hills of Sant Josep, with unrivalled views across Ibiza, a striking feature pool, plush lounge areas and chic, natural décor. Can Alexia was the perfect setting for Annie and Mo’s jaw-droppingly beautiful Ibiza wedding, held on Tuesday 29th June 2021 with just 50 guests. Annie and Mo are a gorgeous couple, inside and out, so needed a wedding day to match. The colour scheme was effortlessly sophisticated, opting for soft white hues and tonnes of fresh, leafy foliage for a natural, minimalist vibe. The bride-to-be, Annie, turned heads in a show-stopping ‘Galia Lahav’ wedding gown, which featured a fitted bodice and a skirt adorned with floral appliqué. Flowers Ibiza created Annie’s bridal bouquet, the buttonholes and of course, the floral décor that transformed the setting.
Guests arrived, soaking in the Ibizan sunshine while being welcomed by Annie and Mo’s wedding signage and a refreshing cocktail. The couple wanted to embrace the surroundings, opting for an outdoor ceremony with *that* epic floral archway. As their friends and family made their way to their seats, they were handed white petal cones, ready to nail that all-important confetti moment. Rustic wooden chairs were adorned with Pampas grass, foliage and ivory ribbon, and the aisle was lined with floral arrangement that we are still swooning over. Can Alexia is renowned for its exquisite views, and the couple really couldn’t ask for a more beautiful backdrop for their nuptials.
Once the ‘I dos’ had taken place, it was time for the cocktail reception. The newlyweds wanted a chill-out vibe without compromising on luxury, so we hosted it by the pool and opted for metallic lanterns, floral details and tall circular tables to give it a relaxed yet on-trend feel. For the wedding breakfast, we had three long wooden trestle tables set in a line on the pool terrace, complemented with ghost chairs to create a real contrast to the rustic wood feel. Here at Ruth Alexander Weddings, we consider every element of a couple’s wedding, from the place setting to the tablescapes. Their wedding breakfast was a real opportunity to tie Annie and Mo’s theme and colour scheme together, so we went all out with a white cheesecloth table runner, mixed vases of greenery and blooms, geometric lanterns and metallic candles. The wedding cake was no exception, with an ivory three-tier masterpiece layered with white icing, white flowers and handfuls of foliage.
As the evening drew in, we wanted to add a touch of Ibiza magic to Can Alexia, dotting globe candles all over the venue, including the stairs and flowerbeds, weaving fairy lights into the hedgerow and adding a disco ball light effect. Golden hour offered Annie and Mo the opportunity for some ridiculously gorgeous couple portraits, encompassing their love for one another. As the sun set, the party started and guests wined, dined and danced the night away.
