Millie and Nathan’s summer wedding in Ibiza took place in June 2022 and it’s guaranteed to brighten up your day. It was filled to the brim with vibrant florals (shout-out to Aurea Flowers for working their floral magic) and was styled by our favourites at Velvet Circus – a killer combination where you just know the wedding is going to be incredible.

When we initially spoke to Millie and Nathan, they had their hearts set on a relaxed, subtly bohemian celebration, with a laidback Australian vibe. We weaved in array of pretty colour palettes and personality-infused elements that worked perfectly against the contrasting backdrops.
Their Ibiza wedding effortlessly reflected the couple’s love story, complementing how the couple met and where they are now.
Transatlantic guests who had travelled far and wide gradually made their way to the venue and were guided to the pool area, where their thirst-quenching arrival drinks awaited. Once a 500-year-old restored farmhouse, Las Cicadas is now a private villa exuding authenticity, style and creativity, just outside the village of Santa Gertrudis.
After sipping on fizz, Millie and Nathan’s friends and family leisurely drifted over to the garden area, where cross back chairs marked out their picture-perfect ceremony spot.
Fresh, overflowing and colourful florals adorned the sides of the aisle, making a serious statement by growing up the tree at the end of the aisle, where a cascade of ribbons hung down from each branch.
YIt really was a breath-taking setting for Millie and Nathan’s heartfelt wedding ceremony, where their close friend proceeded the celebrations and added an extra touch of intimacy to their nuptials.
Millie looked an utter vision in an Elizabeth Filmore wedding dress, having walked down the aisle to the melodic sounds of Imane Jade’s rendition of ‘You’ve Got The Love’.
Millie's bridal party complemented her beautifully with individual floral inspired dresses that tied in with the fresh, summery concept of the day. The groom and his ushers’ attire worked hand in hand with the natural feel of the venue, opting for crisp linen suits.
Once they had exchanged their vows and made it official, the newlyweds headed back to the pool with their guests for drinks and canapés, sipping and mingling under seagrass parasols. The talented Imane Jade continued to provide a soft and soulful backdrop as a relaxed afternoon of celebrations guided guests through.
The venue is home to a picturesque courtyard, where a U-shaped formation of long tables sat under a canopy of twinkling lights.
Chilled, soulful house tunes played in the background as friends and family were seated at the tables, setting the scene for a laidback yet luxurious dining experience.
Grey linen, colour-popping blooms and minimalist crockery embellished the tables, accented with blush statement water glasses and chic ivory taper candles.
Millie and Nathan’s friend from Sydney had hand drawn modern calligraphy-style stationery, offering another personal touch to their celebrations.
Energetic and emotional speeches detailed how Millie and Nathan met, their memorable moments in Ibiza, the experiences they’ve enjoyed travelling together and the life they have built for themselves in Australia – with all the friends they have gathered along the way.
Scattered mirror balls brought the disco vibe alive at Las Cicadas as the couple enjoyed an unforgettable evening of dancing, frivolity and fun with their favourite people while the sun set on their very special day.
