Pre-Wedding Event: The Mehndi Ceremony and Henna Party
When Ammun and Alejandro approached our team at Ruth Alexander Weddings, they expressed their visions for a pre-wedding event. A nod towards tradition, the Mehndi Ceremony / Henna Party took place at Casa La Vista, a luxury villa featuring glorious gardens, sea views and an infinity pool... What’s not to love?!
Their colour palette focused on vibrant, celebratory hues including pink, orange, yellow and purple, with marigolds playing a key part in their floral design. Together, this looked divine against the backdrop of the Ibizan villa. Ammun and Alejandro wanted an abundance of colour throughout their Henna Party, embracing energy and celebrating life! A Mehndi Ceremony begins the joy of the upcoming celebrations, with the traditional marking of the bride with henna. The couple wanted the event to be relaxed, offering their loved ones the chance to spend time together, surrounded by bright garlands, colourful décor and plenty of exceptional entertainment.
When it came to styling their Mehndi Ceremony, we maintained the level of luxury with soft furnishings, plush pillows and statement throws, not to mention hanging blooms, Balinese parasols and delicious food carts. The event was the perfect nod to tradition, with a subtle hint of Ibizan vibes!
The Wedding Day
120 of their friends and family joined them on their official wedding day at Casa La Vista. Ammun and Alejandro exchanged their vows under an exquisite floral archway on the beach, with the sand as their carpet, the ocean as the walls and the blue skies as their ceiling. Their styling and colour palette was a real contrast to their pre-wedding event, with a minimal, clean and fresh creative concept. Flowers Ibiza worked their floral magic, using a huge amount of greenery interspersed with chic white accents (including white garden roses) and natural tones. The couple’s creative change was intentional, effortlessly showcasing the difference and significant identity of each ceremony in its own right – and it was beautifully done so!
Natural wood and soft linens added to the rustic-luxe, paired back feel of Ammun and Alejandro’s Ibiza wedding day. The fresh greenery added a botanical touch, along with simple glassware and handmade papers. This was framed by a canopy of twinkling fairy lights in the palm trees, offering the newlyweds their very own sky full of stars as the sun went down...
