With the new year just around the corner, we look back at some of this year’s most incredible summer weddings in Ibiza. So, while you may be feeling festive, enjoy a quick dose of Vitamin D and soak up those dreamy summer vibes, courtesy of Daisy and James’ elegant, sunshine-filled celebration at Fincadelica. Keep scrolling, folks…
Daisy and James opted for a three-day wedding from 26th – 28th August 2022, which began with the couple’s stag and hen dos. The ladies began their night in Chiringuito Blue, a super chic beachside Mediterranean restaurant, for a gorgeous dinner by the ocean. Meanwhile, the men kicked things off on the rooftop of the W Hotel, featuring roaming canapés of elevated pub club, including sliders, risotto balls and prawn cocktails. Just as the sun was setting over the azure waters, the girls made their grand entrance onto the rooftop and ‘gatecrashed’ the boy’s celebrations – walking in with the tune of ‘Too Many Men’ playing in the backgroudn. All their friends partied together, and the couple had a chance to reunite ahead of the big day.
As the second day arrived (aka, the official wedding day), guests were greeted with relaxed notes of live string music around the pool, complemented with refreshing arrival drinks of Goldtooth Spritz, Gin & Basil Smash Cocktails and delicately flavoured water.
The sun shone and the skies had never been bluer, as James and Daisy’s loved ones were guided to their ceremony space. We worked alongside the ultra-talented team at Velvet Circus Ibiza and Mo Art Direction to style the area with a half-moon formation of cross back chairs, where wild, natural and unstructured arrangements of greenery and gypsophila framed an aisle of jute rugs.
An oversized, organic archway elegantly set the scene for a heartfelt ceremony, which was overseen by celebrant Sunny.
Daisy’s bridesmaids wore a sea of white gowns, leading the way for our exquisite bride, who glided her way down the aisle in a jaw-droppingly beautiful Galia Lahav gown. Our glam squad included Jo at Jam Face, who created a glowing natural make-up look for Daisy, as well as Imy Hair for her glossy blonde locks.
The groom looked dapper in a classic black tie get up – the perfect accompaniment to the bride’s stunning aisle style. After the couple had exchanged their vows and said, ‘I Do’, they danced their way up the aisle and hopped onto their own personalized buggy, showcasing their fun side amongst their nuptials.
Guests made their way back down to the pool for the most delicious selection of cocktails and canapés, mingling in the sunshine as it glistened off the turquoise pool. As the wedding food arrived, friends and family drifted over to the pagoda, where rounded tables awaited.
Daisy and James wanted a relaxed yet decadent meal for their guests to tuck into, opting for a rustic Spanish sharing feast of paella which was divinely prepared by the talented chefs at La Grande Bouffe. The newlywed’s tables were thoughtfully dressed with organic floral arrangements that looked as though they were growing from the tabletop. Glazed stoneware plates and a smoked statement water glass were enhanced with sophisticated black and white stationery, tying in their theme of ‘black tie’ and elegant touches.
Daisy and James wined and dined with their guests before the speeches began and the atmosphere turned electric. The couple wanted to ramp up the energy, allocating shot masters on each table for carefully curated moments of magic that were sprinkled throughout the evening.
The Circus Band hosted powerful performances intermittently throughout the night, adding passion and vivacity to the dining experience, while setting the tone for the rest of the party.
The dinner closed with the most delectable canapé desserts and an unforgettable performance by Circus, who had successfully got everyone into the ultimate party mood. As they sang their way into the night, guests were encouraged by the band to move into the garden, where glittering disco balls hung from the air and twinkling fairy lights cascaded from the trees.
As the night continued, everyone was led up to the cave with a singing procession by Circus, where the couple enjoy a fabulous UV cake cutting moment that kicked off the after party.
Late night pizzas, cocktails and shots were flowing as guests partied hard and danced the night away. The day was the epitome of the couple’s love story, showcasing how Daisy and James had an unrelenting passion for having a good time. The newlyweds left with their guests in the early hours, departing with sore heads and warm hearts.
As day three arrived in Ibiza, the couple wanted to keep the relaxed atmosphere at their post-wedding celebrations. An epic pool party in the sunshine was the perfect choice, with plenty of hydrating drinks and a DJ on hand with the tunes. Friends and family were spoilt with a scrumptious grazing lunch, while Pincantes and Mojitos helped those fuzzy heads get back into the party spirit.
The pool party eventually headed back down to the cave, ending the weekend with a bang before the newlyweds spent a week in Ibiza with their closest friends. A huge thank you to Ayeh K Photography for capturing every beautiful moment on camera.
